Worshippers at a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) branch in Eruku Town, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, were thrown into panic after armed t€rror!sts stormed the church during a service, with a video now circulating online capturing the final calm moments before the attack.

According to local sources, the gunmen invaded the church while the congregation was gathered for worship, shattering the serenity of the service. The short clip, recorded moments earlier, shows members praying and singing unaware that danger was approaching from outside.

Community members say the attackers arrived suddenly, firing shots into the air and causing worshippers to scatter for safety. Although details on casualties or injuries remain unclear, residents of Eruku reported that the incident has heightened fear in the area, which has faced increasing security threats in recent months.

Authorities in Kwara State have not yet issued an official statement, but security operatives are said to be investigating the attack and assessing the growing presence of armed groups near border communities.

The frightening footage has sparked nationwide concern on social media, with many Nigerians calling for stronger protection for rural towns and stricter intelligence around places of worship, which have become recurring targets of violent groups.

As the investigation continues, the Eruku community is urging the government to step up security patrols and prevent further incidents in the region.
