On-air personality sparks debate after sharing controversial trend among Lagos women
Popular Nigerian radio host OAP Nedu has sparked online discussions after revealing what he described as a shocking trend among some slim girls in Lagos.
Speaking during a recent radio broadcast, Nedu claimed that certain women intentionally get pregnant to gain weight and later terminate the pregnancy. “There is this trend in Nigeria now. I stay in Lagos, so let me use Lagos as an example. Some very slim girls, I have heard, when they want to add some weight, what they do is they get pregnant. Once they gather the pregnancy weight, they will now terminate the pregnancy,” he said.
His comments have ignited mixed reactions on social media. While some users expressed shock and believe Nedu’s claim, others questioned the accuracy of his statement and cast doubts on the purported trend.
