Dangote Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of petrol to ₦1,075 per litre, while diesel is now selling at ₦1,430 per litre.
The adjustment comes amid ongoing shifts in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector as market players respond to global crude oil trends, supply dynamics, and domestic distribution costs.
Industry observers say price changes by the refinery could influence fuel pricing patterns across the country, particularly as marketers adjust their pump prices based on supply availability and operational costs.
The Dangote Refinery, one of the largest refining facilities in Africa, plays a significant role in Nigeria’s efforts to strengthen local refining capacity and reduce reliance on imported petroleum products.
Energy analysts note that continued price adjustments within the sector will likely depend on international oil market conditions, exchange rate movements, and logistics costs within the domestic fuel supply chain.
