The founder of Omega Power Ministries, Chibuzor Chinyere, has announced plans to arrange the marriage of one of his adopted daughters, a 21 year old autistic woman identified as Chiemeka Chibuzor.
According to the cleric, the initiative is part of efforts to secure the long term welfare and stability of the young woman. He stated that he is willing to provide financial incentives and comprehensive welfare support to any responsible man who agrees to marry her.
Chinyere explained that the support package is intended to ensure that the prospective husband is equipped to provide proper care, stability, and a supportive environment for Chiemeka. He added that the decision was driven by concern for her future and the need to guarantee continued care beyond his direct supervision.

The announcement has generated mixed reactions on social media, with some praising the gesture as an act of compassion and responsibility, while others have raised ethical and social concerns about the approach to marriage arrangements involving vulnerable individuals.
Advocates for persons with disabilities have emphasised the importance of safeguarding the rights, dignity, and consent of individuals in such situations, noting that decisions around marriage should prioritise personal choice, autonomy, and well being.
The development has sparked broader conversations about care systems, social inclusion, and long term support structures for persons living with developmental conditions in Nigeria.
