The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has withdrawn a controversial counselling publication issued by its Student Affairs Division, reaffirming its zero-tolerance policy on sexual harassment and victim-blaming.
The decision followed widespread public criticism after an image of the publication circulated across social media, with many users condemning its content as inappropriate and insensitive.
In response to the backlash, the university withdrew the publication and reiterated its commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for all students.
UNILAG emphasized that it does not condone sexual harassment in any form and remains committed to policies and practices that protect victims while promoting accountability and dignity within the university community.
