Nigerian Afrobeats stars Davido, Rema and Omah Lay are set to headline the seventh edition of Afro Nation Portugal, alongside Congolese music star Fally Ipupa, as organisers announce the first wave of performers for the 2027 festival.
The announcement places four of Africa’s prominent contemporary music acts at the centre of the upcoming festival, which is expected to attract Afrobeats, African music and international entertainment fans from different parts of the world.
Davido, one of Nigeria’s most internationally recognised Afrobeats artistes, is expected to bring his extensive catalogue and energetic stage performances to the festival. The singer has built a global audience through hit songs, major collaborations and performances at some of the world’s biggest music events.
Rema is also scheduled to headline the festival following his continued rise on the international music scene. The Nigerian singer has gained global recognition through songs including Calm Down, which became a major international hit and expanded the reach of Afrobeats to audiences across different markets.
Omah Lay will also feature among the leading Nigerian acts announced for the 2027 edition. Known for his distinctive blend of Afrobeats, R&B and contemporary African sounds, the singer has established a strong international following since breaking into the Nigerian music scene.
Joining the Nigerian stars is Fally Ipupa, one of the biggest names in contemporary Congolese music. The singer, songwriter and dancer has built an extensive career that has connected Congolese rumba and modern African pop with audiences around the world.
