Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has shared his perspective on financial independence within marriage, explaining that his wife has her own business and finances and that he does not interfere with how she chooses to spend her money.
Obi said his wife is financially independent and therefore has the freedom to make personal purchasing decisions with money she earns from her business.
“My wife has her own business and her own money, so what is my business if she buys expensive items with her money?”
The former presidential candidate further revealed that he does not even know how much some of the luxury items his wife uses cost.
“The bags and shoes my wife wears, I don’t even know how much they cost.”
