The atmosphere in Ayetoro, Yewa North, Ogun State, is already filled with excitement as preparations reach top gear for the 60th birthday and retirement celebration of Mrs. Olubunmi Kehinde Adegbite, a respected teacher and community role model.
The event, themed “Celebrating God’s Faithfulness and Mercy,” is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Ayetoro Community Grammar School (Junior), Ayetoro, where Mrs. Adegbite has served with distinction under the Ogun State Teaching Service Commission.
Family, friends, colleagues, and former students are expected to gather to honour the educator, who is retiring after decades of selfless service in the teaching profession.
Her children have described her as “a good mother, spiritually grounded, and blessed with strong leadership qualities,” noting that her dedication to both family and career has been a source of inspiration to many.
According to family sources, the celebration will hold in two parts one at the school premises for colleagues and students, and another private thanksgiving service for family and close friends both designed to express gratitude for God’s faithfulness throughout her career and life.
Mrs. Adegbite’s forthcoming retirement ceremony is set to be a day of reflection, joy, and thanksgiving a befitting honour for a woman who has dedicated her life to nurturing generations through education.
