In a new video, Imisi’s mother says she is shocked by her daughter’s revelations on the show, insisting the alleged childhood incidents never occurred.
The mother of Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, has publicly debunked several claims her daughter made about her upbringing, including allegations that she was sent out of the house at age 12.
In a video shared on Instagram, the visibly emotional mother said she was “shocked and confused” when she heard Imisi narrate that she was asked to leave home as a child. According to her, no such incident ever happened.
She explained that she reached out to her own mother Imisi’s grandmother and her sister to verify the claim, but both reportedly confirmed they had no knowledge of the situation Imisi described.
Addressing another sensitive revelation, the mother said she was unaware of Imisi’s claim of being r*ped while growing up. She urged her daughter to publicly clarify the timeline so the family could understand when the alleged incident occurred.
She added that the statements made on the show have led to severe public backlash, with strangers insulting and labeling her a bad parent whenever she appears in public. The ongoing criticism, she said, has been overwhelming.
The video has since generated widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians calling for clarity and reconciliation between mother and daughter.
