“It Doesn’t Make Sense”: Oluwatoyosi Michael Decries Rising BBL Craze Among Young Women

Project manager warns that societal pressure, not self-love, is pushing ladies toward dangerous body-enhancement trends

Certified project manager, event strategist and professional event decorator, Oluwatoyosi Michael, has expressed deep concern over the growing obsession with Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures among young ladies, describing the trend as a disturbing reflection of societal pressure and declining self-esteem.

Oluwatoyosi, who spoke passionately about the issue, said the rising number of young women opting for body-enhancement surgeries is rooted in external validation rather than genuine personal satisfaction. According to him, many ladies undergo the risky procedures not because they genuinely desire it, but because they are overly concerned about how people perceive their bodies.

“It doesn’t make sense,” he said. “A lot of these ladies are not doing it for themselves. They are doing it because they care too much about what people say about them. Society has created a false image of beauty, and many are falling for it.”

He expressed worry that the increasing demand for cosmetic surgeries is creating a dangerous trend, especially among impressionable young women who may not fully understand the physical, emotional, and financial risks involved. Michael warned that beyond the glamour seen on social media, many BBL procedures come with life-threatening complications, long-term health challenges, and psychological consequences.

Oluwatoyosi urged young women to prioritize self-love, build their confidence from within, and resist the pressure to conform to unrealistic beauty standards. He emphasized that confidence, authenticity, and a healthy self-image remain more valuable than any surgically enhanced body feature.

“Ladies should learn to be themselves,” he stressed. “Natural beauty, self-respect and confidence will always stand out. You don’t need to put yourself at risk just to impress anyone.”

He also appealed to parents, influencers, and the media to promote healthier narratives around beauty, body image, and self-worth. According to him, society must shift its focus away from physical appearance and encourage young women to celebrate their individuality.

Oluwatoyosi Michael continues to advocate for personal development, self-awareness and character building values he believes young ladies must embrace to avoid falling victim to unnecessary and harmful trends.
