A Nigerian woman, Habibat Salawudeen Ihiovi-Jack, is attempting to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest Holy Bible reading marathon by reading continuously for 144 hours (six days).
The record attempt began on June 22, with Habibat embarking on the marathon in a bid to achieve the historic feat through continuous public reading of the Scriptures.
If successful and officially verified by Guinness World Records, the achievement would set a new benchmark for the longest Bible reading marathon.
The challenge has attracted support and encouragement from well-wishers, faith-based organisations and members of the public, many of whom have praised her dedication, endurance and commitment to promoting the reading of the Bible.
The attempt remains subject to the official guidelines and verification process of Guinness World Records before it can be formally recognised.
