The Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, has confirmed that Adire fabric will replace the traditional khaki as the new uniform for members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
According to the minister, the initiative is designed to promote Nigeria's rich cultural heritage while boosting the local textile and fashion industry through the adoption of the indigenous fabric.
Olawande said the transition to Adire aligns with the Federal Government's commitment to supporting locally made products, creating economic opportunities for local producers and showcasing Nigeria's cultural identity.
