Dauda, who won the prestigious Mr. Olympia title in 2024, finished behind American bodybuilder Nick Walker, who claimed his first Mr. Olympia crown. Derek Lunsford placed third.
The competition was held from September 24 to 27, with the Men’s Open final taking place at the Orleans Arena on September 26. According to the published scorecard, Walker finished with 18 points, while Dauda recorded 20 points.
The second-place finish marks Dauda’s return to the Mr. Olympia podium after he placed fourth in 2025. His 2024 victory made him the first Nigerian-born athlete to win the Men’s Open Mr. Olympia title.
Reacting to the result, Dauda acknowledged that he went to Las Vegas aiming for another victory but said he was proud of the physique he brought to the stage and credited his team for the achievement.
The 2026 result adds another major podium finish to the career of the bodybuilder popularly known as “The Nigerian Lion.” 🇳🇬🔥
