In a time when many Nigerians have lost faith in politics, Engineer Jamiu Ogundele, popularly known as Jamsalod, is inspiring hope with his heartfelt promise of transparent and selfless leadership.
The young philanthropist, serial entrepreneur, and community advocate shared his vision during a private discussion with close associates who urged him to consider political leadership. He emphasized that public service should be rooted in sincerity, compassion, and accountability not greed or self-enrichment.
“If I ever get the chance to represent my people, I won’t embezzle constituency money,” he said passionately. “Every four months, I’ll go on radio to give a full account of how funds are spent. I’ll also hold regular town hall meetings to hear directly from my people their needs, their pain, and their hopes.”
Ogundele explained that leadership, to him, is not a title but a calling to serve with integrity. He added that he is willing to sacrifice his own comfort and personal resources for the well-being of his constituency.
“I’ve worked hard to build myself, but true fulfillment will come when I use my resources and knowledge to lift others,” he added.
Although he has not formally declared any political ambition, many within and outside his circle believe Engineer Ogundele’s humility, empathy, and honesty set him apart as one of the few young Nigerians ready to redefine leadership.
Supporters describe him as “a man who talks like he feels the people’s pain” someone whose words reflect the yearning of millions tired of failed promises.
If his intentions materialize into action, many believe Jamsalod could be part of a new generation of leaders Nigeria has long waited for one whose power lies not in wealth, but in truth and compassion.
