Tinubu’s $1 Trillion Dream Possible — Minister Bagudu Assures Nigerians

Nigeria’s Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Bagudu, says President Bola Tinubu’s bold vision to grow Nigeria’s economy into a $1 trillion GDP powerhouse by 2030 is “ambitious but achievable.”

Bagudu stated this during a meeting with the EU Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, led by Mr. David McAllister, in Abuja.

He noted that the plan will hinge on strong private sector participation and sustained economic reforms aimed at driving inclusive growth.

According to him, “Nigeria’s absorptive capacity is strong — in agriculture and infrastructure — and we are committed to mutually beneficial partnerships.”

The EU reaffirmed its support for Nigeria through a €190 million agricultural credit line and the €300 billion Global Gateway Initiative, which aims to boost green and digital growth across Africa.
