A woman identified as Halima Salisu reportedly stabbed her husband, Salisu Suleiman, in Niger State after discovering he planned to marry another wife.
A domestic dispute turned violent in Kuta community, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, when a woman allegedly attacked her husband for planning to take a second wife.
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
Reports indicate that Halima Salisu attacked her husband, Salisu Suleiman, while he was asleep, inflicting deep cuts on his neck and damaging his left eye.
The victim was rushed to General Hospital Kuta and later referred to IBB Specialist Hospital Minna for further treatment.
Authorities are investigating the case, which has sparked conversations around polygamy, jealousy, and domestic violence in Nigeria.
