The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Continent 3, has launched a free digital skills empowerment programme aimed at benefiting 8,400 participants as part of activities marking the 84th birthday of its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
The initiative is designed to equip young people, entrepreneurs, and aspiring professionals with practical technology-driven skills to enhance employability, innovation, and economic independence. Church leaders say the programme aligns with broader efforts to promote human capital development and reduce unemployment through digital education.
According to organisers, the empowerment scheme will provide structured training across key areas of the digital economy, positioning beneficiaries to compete in both local and global markets. The programme is expected to focus on practical knowledge, hands-on sessions, and mentorship to ensure measurable impact.
RCCG Continent 3 stated that the project reflects the church’s commitment to community development and sustainable empowerment beyond spiritual activities. The digital skills programme also underscores the growing importance of technology in shaping career opportunities and business growth in Nigeria’s evolving economy.
As Nigeria continues to expand its digital landscape, faith-based organisations and private institutions are increasingly investing in technology education to bridge skills gaps and support economic diversification. The new RCCG initiative is anticipated to create opportunities for thousands of beneficiaries while celebrating the milestone birthday of Pastor Adeboye.
