Veteran Nigerian actor Abiodun Ayoyinka, popularly known as Papa Ajasco, has revealed that he currently earns between ₦50,000 and ₦60,000 per episode for his acting roles in 2026.
The actor made the disclosure while speaking about his experience and longevity in Nigeria’s entertainment industry, shedding light on the financial realities faced by some veteran performers.
Ayoyinka, widely recognised for his role as the titular character in the popular comedy series Papa Ajasco, has remained one of the most familiar faces in Nigerian television comedy for decades.
According to him, despite his long-standing contribution to the industry and the popularity of the character he portrays, the pay structure for some actors remains modest.
