Pastor Enoch Adeboye Urges Parents to Prioritise Spiritual Training of Children

RCCG General Overseer warns that neglecting children’s moral and spiritual upbringing can lead to lifelong sorrow

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on parents to take seriously the “non-negotiable” responsibility of intentionally training their children in the ways of the Lord.

Adeboye warned that neglecting the spiritual and moral upbringing of children could result in lifelong regret and sorrow for parents and families.
The cleric emphasised that parents play a crucial role in shaping the character, values and faith of their children, stressing that such guidance should begin early and remain consistent throughout their formative years.

According to him, deliberate efforts must be made to teach children godly principles, discipline and moral responsibility, as these foundations help guide them through life’s challenges.

Adeboye’s message comes amid growing conversations among religious leaders about the importance of family values, moral instruction and faith-based guidance in raising responsible and principled individuals.

He urged parents to remain committed to their role as primary mentors in their children’s lives, noting that intentional spiritual training can help build stronger families and more responsible communities.
