The Onipokia of Ipokia Kingdom, Oba Yisa Sola Adeniyi Olaniyan, has passed away after a brief illness.

The revered traditional ruler reportedly died in the United States, where he had been receiving medical care.

Oba Olaniyan ascended the throne in 2020 and was widely respected for his commitment to promoting peace, unity and development within Ipokia Kingdom and Ogun State.

News of his passing has thrown the ancient kingdom into mourning, with residents, traditional institutions, political leaders and well-wishers paying tribute to the monarch's life of service and leadership.
