Police to Arraign Alleged PFIPC Director-General Over Forgery, Impersonation

Self-acclaimed Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council to face charges before the Federal High Court.

The Nigeria Police Force is set to arraign Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-acclaimed Director-General of the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), before the Federal High Court over allegations of forgery, impersonation and related offences.

According to the police, Adeyemi will face prosecution in connection with allegations that he falsely presented himself as the head of the purported organisation and engaged in activities linked to forged documents and impersonation.

The planned arraignment follows investigations by the Nigeria Police Force into the activities of the alleged PFIPC and its leadership.

Authorities said the charges are part of efforts to ensure accountability and prosecute individuals accused of using forged documents or false identities to mislead the public.

The case is expected to come before the Federal High Court, where the allegations against the defendant will be determined in accordance with the law.

As of the time of filing this report, Adeyemi has yet to publicly respond to the allegations, while the charges remain allegations until proven in court.
