NiMet Forecasts Sunshine and Cloudy Skies Across Nigeria from Tuesday to Thursday

Weather agency advises residents to expect mixed conditions as dry and cloudy periods dominate much of the country

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted a combination of sunshine and cloudiness across various parts of the country from Tuesday to Thursday, advising residents to prepare for fluctuating weather conditions during the period.

According to the agency’s latest weather outlook, most regions are expected to experience intervals of sunshine interspersed with cloudy skies, particularly in the morning and evening hours. NiMet said the forecast reflects prevailing atmospheric conditions that will influence temperatures, visibility, and general comfort levels nationwide.

The agency noted that northern states are likely to experience more pronounced sunny spells, accompanied by pockets of cloud cover, while parts of the central and southern regions may see increased cloudiness, especially during early morning hours. NiMet added that these conditions could affect outdoor activities, agriculture, and transportation.

NiMet urged Nigerians to stay informed through regular weather updates and to take necessary precautions, particularly those engaged in weather-sensitive activities. The agency also advised vulnerable groups to remain hydrated during sunny periods and dress appropriately as temperatures fluctuate.

The forecast forms part of NiMet’s routine efforts to provide timely and accurate weather information to support safety, planning, and economic activities across the country.
