Pan-Atlantic University and NYSC Collaborate on Digital Platform to Empower Corps Members

New initiative aims to provide skills development and entrepreneurship education for Nigerian youth

The Enterprise Development Centre of Pan-Atlantic University has partnered with the National Youth Service Corps to create a digital platform designed to equip corps members with essential skills and entrepreneurship education. The platform, which is currently in the planning stages, is intended to enhance the professional capabilities of participants during their service year and prepare them for sustainable career opportunities after completion.

Officials from both organisations stated that the initiative seeks to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical skills, ensuring that corps members are better prepared to start businesses, pursue innovative projects, or enhance their employability. The program will include training modules, interactive learning resources, and mentorship opportunities tailored to the needs of young Nigerians.

By leveraging technology, the collaboration aims to reach a wider audience of corps members across the country, particularly in underserved areas, and provide them with the tools to succeed in Nigeria’s competitive economic landscape. Stakeholders emphasised that the platform will foster innovation, encourage self-reliance, and empower the next generation of Nigerian entrepreneurs.

Both the Enterprise Development Centre and the NYSC have committed to monitoring the platform’s effectiveness, with the goal of continually updating content and resources to reflect evolving market demands and entrepreneurship trends. The initiative is expected to launch within the next academic year, marking a significant step in youth development and national capacity building.
