Friends and associates receive requests for money from the deceased's phone hours after her suspected killing in Abeokuta.

The mobile phone of a former staff member of Ogun State Television (OGTV), Ms. Kitan Oyesiku, popularly known as "Aunty Kitan," was allegedly used by suspected killers to solicit money from her friends and associates after she was reportedly murdered at her residence in the Kobape area of Abeokuta, Ogun State.

According to sources, the tragic incident is believed to have occurred between Friday night and Saturday morning. However, on Saturday, several of the deceased's contacts reportedly received messages from her phone requesting urgent financial assistance, raising suspicions that the perpetrators had taken possession of her device after the attack.

One of the recipients, Engr. Awolana, reportedly received a message requesting ₦300,000, with the sender claiming that Ms. Oyesiku's vehicle had broken down on the Third Mainland Bridge and that the money was needed for repairs.
