Nvidia Reports Record $96.2bn Quarterly Revenue as AI Boom Continues

Chip giant more than doubles sales from a year earlier and beats Wall Street expectations.

Nvidia has reported $96.2 billion in quarterly revenue, more than double its sales from the same period a year earlier, as demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure continues to surge.

Revenue rose 106 per cent year-on-year, beating analysts’ expectations of about $92.3 billion. The company also reported adjusted earnings of $2.22 per share, ahead of the $2.09 expected by Wall Street.

Nvidia's data-centre business generated $89 billion, accounting for the vast majority of the company’s quarterly sales as technology companies continue to invest heavily in AI computing infrastructure.

The company expects revenue of about $108 billion in the current quarter, signalling that Nvidia sees little immediate slowdown in demand for its AI chips.

The latest results further strengthen Nvidia’s position at the centre of the global AI boom, with CEO Jensen Huang saying AI has reached an inflection point and demand for computing power is accelerating.
