Governor pledges full political support for President’s re-election bid, cites alignment with Renewed Hope Agenda

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has declared his firm commitment to delivering the state for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, signaling a clear political alignment ahead of the next electoral cycle.

Speaking at a recent political gathering attended by party stakeholders and supporters, Governor Fubara said Rivers State would play a decisive role in supporting President Tinubu’s re-election, stressing that his administration shares in the President’s vision for national development, economic reforms, and institutional stability.

The governor noted that his decision is anchored on what he described as the tangible impact of the Tinubu-led administration’s policies, particularly in areas of infrastructure development, fiscal reforms, and efforts to strengthen governance across the federation. According to him, Rivers State stands to benefit more from sustained collaboration with the Federal Government.

“I will deliver Rivers for President Tinubu in 2027,” Fubara declared, assuring party faithful and supporters that structures would be strengthened across wards and local government areas to mobilise grassroots support ahead of the polls.

Fubara also called on political leaders and supporters in the state to prioritise unity and strategic engagement, noting that effective mobilisation and voter education would be key to achieving success in 2027. He emphasised the need to put governance above personal interests, adding that stability and continuity are critical for sustained development.

Political observers view the governor’s statement as a significant development in Rivers State’s political landscape, especially as alignments begin to take shape ahead of the next general elections. With Rivers regarded as a key political state in the South-South, Fubara’s pledge is expected to influence party dynamics and mobilisation efforts in the region.

The governor reaffirmed his commitment to delivering good governance in Rivers State while supporting policies he believes will drive national growth, insisting that his administration remains focused on peace, development, and inclusive progress for the people.
