The Ijebu Boys Association has successfully concluded its 10th anniversary celebrations, marked by a series of impactful programmes including a large-scale free medical outreach, educational competitions, cultural engagement, and a grand anniversary dinner.
The week-long programme, themed around service, heritage, and community impact, ran across multiple days from Thursday through Monday, drawing strong participation from members, beneficiaries, and residents within and outside the community.
A major highlight of the celebration was the IJ Boys Annual Free Medical Outreach held on May 22 and 23, 2026, at De Millennium Hall, Itoro, Ijebu Ode. The outreach recorded a massive turnout as beneficiaries received free medical consultations, diagnostic tests, and treatments.
Services offered included vital signs checks, malaria treatment, management of rheumatism and hypertension, hepatitis B and C screening, dental and eye care services, pregnancy care support, as well as distribution of wheelchairs and walking aids. In addition, beneficiaries received free meals, while selected individuals were given the opportunity to benefit from one-year health insurance coverage.
Organisers described the outreach as part of the association’s long-standing commitment to community health and wellbeing, reinforcing the belief that “health is wealth” and that a healthy population is essential for sustainable development.
The anniversary also featured an Ijebu Dialect Debate Competition for secondary school students, held on May 25, 2026, at the Abdulmojeed Omotayo Islamic Centre in Ijebu Ode. The competition aimed to promote cultural preservation, language development, and intellectual engagement among young students.
A key milestone of the celebration was the unveiling of the association’s official anthem, symbolising unity, identity, and shared purpose among members. Certificates of participation were also presented to contributors and participants in recognition of their involvement.

With its blend of healthcare outreach, youth empowerment, cultural preservation, and community bonding, the Ijebu Boys Association’s 10th anniversary has been widely described as a landmark success and a model for grassroots impact initiatives.
