The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has banned all student “signing-off” celebrations on campus with immediate effect.
The university announced the restriction as part of measures aimed at maintaining peace, order and safety within the institution.
The ban means students will no longer be permitted to organise or participate in signing-off activities on university premises.
Students have been urged to comply with the directive and avoid activities that could disrupt academic operations or pose security concerns on campus.
The development comes as universities across Nigeria continue to review student activities and campus celebrations in an effort to balance student social life with institutional discipline, security and the smooth running of academic programmes.
