British-Nigerian businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, also known as Denisi or Ego, has died at the age of 43 after undergoing a penis enlargement procedure while on a luxury holiday in Thailand with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen.
Ubiribo died in the early hours of March 6, 2026, but details surrounding his death have emerged following an inquest at the Inner West London Coroners’ Court. A London coroner concluded that the cosmetic procedure had caused a fatal pulmonary embolism.
According to evidence presented at the inquest, Ubiribo had approximately 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injected into his penis at an unnamed clinic in Bangkok on March 5. The procedure was intended to increase the size or girth of his penis.
After the procedure, Ubiribo and his wife reportedly returned to their hotel and went for a massage. During the massage, he complained of chest pain and lost consciousness twice.
He was subsequently taken by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he was initially able to respond to questions. His wife reportedly informed medical personnel about the recent filler injections. Ubiribo later lost consciousness before doctors could carry out a recommended CT scan.
Doctors diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism, a potentially life-threatening condition in which a blood vessel in the lungs becomes blocked. He was transferred to intensive care, where medical personnel reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes in an effort to save his life.
He could not be revived.
A postmortem examination conducted in the United Kingdom later found cellular material in his lungs that was consistent with the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure. Coroner Jean Harkin subsequently concluded that the cosmetic treatment had caused the pulmonary embolism that led to Ubiribo’s death.
Ubiribo was known for documenting his luxurious lifestyle on social media and had built a following of about 185,000 people on Instagram. He was married to fashion designer and socialite Danielle Simba Allen, with whom he had travelled to Thailand before the fatal procedure.
His death has renewed attention on the potential risks associated with injectable cosmetic procedures, particularly penile fillers. Medical experts have warned that although such procedures are marketed as cosmetic treatments, serious complications can occur.
The case also highlights the importance of understanding the potential medical risks associated with elective cosmetic procedures, particularly when they are undertaken abroad where patients may have limited knowledge of the clinic, practitioner or available emergency care.
Ubiribo’s death has since drawn widespread attention, with the circumstances surrounding the procedure and subsequent medical emergency becoming the subject of international media reports following the coroner’s findings.
