His Royal Highness, Oba Kayode Joseph Ogungbohun, the Agbaigba of Ijaka-Oke, has been honoured with the Royal Excellence Award at a prestigious event held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The revered monarch, who is also a distinguished Rotarian, was recognised for his outstanding contributions to community development, humanitarian service, and cultural advancement both within and beyond Nigeria.
Receiving the award, Oba Ogungbohun, also known as Osolo I of Ijaka-Oke, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organisers and dedicated the honour to the Agbaigba community at home and in the diaspora.
“This recognition is not for me alone, but for the entire Agbaigba family both those at home and abroad whose support and unity continue to inspire progress in our land,” he said.
The Royal Excellence Award is one of the most notable international honours conferred on African traditional rulers who have demonstrated leadership excellence and commitment to social impact across borders.
