Security expert Moruf Yusuf, popularly known as Ojogbon, has advised people visiting farms, forests and bushy areas to avoid wearing perfume as a precaution against insect-related incidents.
Yusuf gave the advice in Series #127 of The Secure Mind, titled “Farm Visitors Are Advised to Refrain from Wearing Perfume.”
He explained that farms, bushes and forests are natural habitats for bees and other insects, adding that strong fragrances may attract some insects and increase the risk of stings or other unwanted encounters.
He particularly advised security personnel, surveyors, teachers involved in tourism, landowners, prospective property buyers and other stakeholders who regularly visit farms and forested areas to take the precaution seriously.
Yusuf noted that individuals who normally use perfume should consider avoiding it when undertaking farm or forest visits, particularly during unscheduled assignments, inspections or business-related activities.
He stressed the importance of understanding the potential risks associated with different environments and taking simple precautions before entering areas where insects and wildlife may be present.
The security expert urged visitors to remain observant and follow appropriate safety measures when visiting farms, forests and other outdoor locations.
“Wearing perfume when visiting farms and forests can easily attract bees.”
He said a safety-conscious individual should always understand the dos and don'ts of visiting environments where insects and wildlife may pose potential risks.
Just be good. Reflect. Stay alert.
