Security expert urges motorists to allow military, paramilitary and other security convoys to pass safely and without obstruction.

Security expert Moruf Yusuf, popularly known as Ojogbon, has urged road users to respect security convoys and avoid actions that could obstruct or endanger their movement.

Yusuf made the call in Series #124 of The Secure Mind, titled “Security Convoys Should Be Respected and Not Obstructed.”

He said security personnel entrusted with protecting lives and property deserve respect, particularly when operating in convoys during emergencies, protective operations or other official assignments.

The security expert advised motorists, regardless of their status or position, to avoid driving into, cutting through or deliberately obstructing military, paramilitary and other security convoys.

According to him, road users should exercise patience and, where it is safe and lawful to do so, allow security convoys to pass without interference.

Yusuf warned that obstructing a convoy could endanger security personnel, other motorists and members of the public, particularly when the convoy is responding to an emergency or time-sensitive assignment.

He stressed that being security-conscious requires road users to understand that security convoys may be carrying out important official duties and should therefore be given the necessary space to operate safely.

“Understanding that a security convoy is on a mission fosters mutual respect between security personnel and the public.”

He urged Nigerians to demonstrate patience and responsible road behaviour whenever they encounter security convoys.
