A 73-year-old woman has died in a tragic accident after being struck by her own car in the parking lot of a medical centre in Kirkstall, Leeds, United Kingdom.
According to West Yorkshire Police, emergency services responded to the incident around 4:55 p.m. on October 29, 2025, at Abbey Grange Medical Practice on Norman Street.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman’s Kia Picanto had been parked on a slight slope when it suddenly rolled backwards, knocking her to the ground. Despite swift medical attention, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police spokesperson confirmed the incident, saying, “It’s believed the car rolled back and struck her. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Authorities have appealed for witnesses and urged anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact West Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting log number 1298 of October 29.
