Bystanders Allegedly Stole Anthony Joshua’s Phone at Crash Scene, Uncle Claims

Family Raises Concerns Over Crowd Conduct as Tragedy Surrounds Fatal Accident Involving Boxer’s Close Associates

Fresh controversy has emerged following the tragic road accident involving people close to heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua, after a family member alleged that bystanders stole the boxer’s phone at the scene of the crash.

Speaking on the incident, Anthony Joshua’s uncle claimed that amid the confusion and shock that followed the accident, some individuals at the scene took advantage of the situation by stealing the athlete’s mobile phone. The allegation has sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians condemning what they described as a troubling lack of empathy during moments of tragedy.

The accident, which resulted in the deaths of two of Joshua’s close associates, has already cast a pall of grief over the boxing community and fans worldwide. As tributes continue to pour in for the deceased, the new claim has shifted attention to the conduct of onlookers who reportedly gathered at the scene before emergency responders could fully secure the area.

According to the family, the missing phone contained important personal and professional information, compounding the distress already faced by the boxer and his loved ones. While no official police confirmation has yet been made regarding the alleged theft, the statement has renewed calls for greater public responsibility and respect at accident scenes.

Security experts have repeatedly warned against crowd interference at crash sites, noting that such actions can obstruct rescue efforts, compromise investigations, and further traumatize victims and their families. Social media users echoed these concerns, urging authorities to enforce stricter measures against looting and misconduct during emergencies.

As investigations into the crash continue, fans and well-wishers have expressed solidarity with Anthony Joshua, offering condolences and prayers while hoping that justice and accountability will prevail. The incident has also reignited a broader conversation about civic values, compassion, and the need for bystanders to prioritize humanity over opportunism in moments of crisis.

  1. This is so pathetic. People stealing from accidents scenes that claimed human lives. When they get tracked and arrested now, people (thieves like them) will start gaslighting and showing them empathy.
