The Lagos State Government has commenced the recruitment of clinical personnel across its 29 secondary healthcare facilities as part of efforts to improve healthcare service delivery and address workforce shortages.
The recruitment exercise is aimed at boosting the capacity of the state's health sector by engaging qualified professionals to support the growing demand for quality medical services.
According to the government, the initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen secondary healthcare institutions and ensure residents have greater access to efficient and timely medical care.
Officials said the exercise will help bridge existing manpower gaps while enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided across the state's general hospitals and other secondary health facilities.
The government encouraged qualified healthcare professionals to apply, noting that the recruitment is part of its broader commitment to building a resilient healthcare system capable of meeting the needs of Lagos' rapidly growing population.
The move is expected to improve patient care, reduce pressure on existing medical personnel and further strengthen the state's healthcare workforce.
