The Federal Government has commenced the demolition of Carter Bridge in Lagos and unveiled plans for a new replacement project estimated at ₦548.98 billion.
The replacement is expected to modernise the ageing infrastructure and improve connectivity within Lagos, particularly around the busy Apapa and Lagos Island corridors.
The government said the project forms part of broader efforts to upgrade critical transport infrastructure and improve the movement of people and goods across the state.
