Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has said he did not receive any invitation from the Nigeria Police Force in Abuja, disputing claims by the police that he was formally invited to provide evidence regarding allegations he made against Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Moshood Jimoh.

In a new video shared online, VeryDarkMan insisted that no invitation from the Force Criminal Investigation Department (Force CID) in Abuja was served on him, challenging the police's account of events.

His statement comes after the Nigeria Police Force announced that he had been invited to substantiate his allegations against AIG Jimoh, while also confirming that the senior police officer had been summoned for internal questioning as part of an administrative review.

The police have maintained that VeryDarkMan should honour the invitation and present any evidence supporting his claims through the appropriate legal and institutional channels rather than through social media.

The conflicting accounts have generated widespread reactions online, with the matter continuing to attract public attention as investigations and related legal proceedings unfold.
