Nigerian DJ and music producer, DJ Exclusive, has issued a public warning to the Nigeria Police Force about the dangers of focusing stop-and-search operations solely on flashy vehicles.
In a post shared via social media, the entertainer argued that such selective targeting could allow criminals using modest cars to move freely and commit crimes unnoticed.
He wrote:
“Nigerian Police only stop flashy cars for stop and search… making it easy for thieves to rob, because all they gotta do is use cars that ain’t flashy.”
His statement has since sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians agreeing that bias-driven police profiling often targets the wrong people while leaving genuine threats unchecked.
