Political Consistency Crucial for 2026 Elections, Says Daniel Regha

Media personality urges Nigerians to hold all parties accountable equally, stressing fairness and transparency

Nigerian media personality and commentator, Daniel Regha, has called on citizens to maintain consistency in their approach to the upcoming 2026 elections. In a thought-provoking message shared on X (formerly Twitter), Regha emphasized that celebrating victories in some regions while crying foul over losses in others undermines the goal of fair and credible elections.

“Elections will be happening next year, and consistency should be seen; don’t celebrate where your political parties or candidates win in certain places, and then scream rigged when they lose in some regions,” he tweeted.

Regha stressed that if Nigerians truly aim to hold the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) accountable, it must be done with uniform standards across all parties and regions. He called for fair-mindedness, urging voters to support transparency, discourage double standards, and engage responsibly in the democratic process.

His message has sparked wide discussion online, as citizens and political enthusiasts weigh in on the importance of integrity, impartiality, and civic responsibility ahead of one of Nigeria’s most anticipated electoral seasons.
