The National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has issued a 15-day ultimatum to the Federal Government over the alleged victimisation of its members.
The association accused the government of unfair treatment and called for urgent intervention to address its grievances, warning that failure to act within the stipulated period could lead to industrial action.
NANNM said the ultimatum reflects growing concerns among nurses and midwives over what it described as the continued victimisation of its members, urging the government to engage the union in meaningful dialogue.
The association expressed hope that the issues would be resolved before the expiration of the 15-day deadline to avoid disruptions to healthcare services across the country.
The Federal Government is yet to issue an official response to the ultimatum.
