The Federal Government is set to announce a fresh pay increase for members of the Nigerian Armed Forces, according to the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd.).
Speaking on the planned review, the Defence Minister said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will soon unveil the new salary increase as part of the administration's commitment to improving the welfare of military personnel.
The Minister noted that the planned adjustment is aimed at boosting the morale of soldiers and recognising their sacrifices in safeguarding the nation's security.
The expected announcement comes amid ongoing efforts by the Federal Government to strengthen the capacity of the armed forces and enhance the welfare of personnel engaged in combating insecurity across the country.
