Labour unions warn of possible action if outstanding statutory remittances are not settled.
Aviation workers in Nigeria have issued a seven-day ultimatum to airlines over the alleged non-remittance of Trade Union Subscription (TSA) deductions.
The workers, through their unions, demanded that the affected airlines remit all outstanding deductions within the stipulated period, warning that failure to comply could result in industrial action.
According to the unions, the deductions were made from workers' salaries but were allegedly not remitted as required, a situation they say undermines workers' rights and the operations of the unions.
The aviation workers urged the affected airlines to resolve the matter promptly to avert disruptions to operations within the sector.
