The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has opened applications for its 2027 Young Graduates Immersion Programme, offering young Nigerians and other eligible citizens of ECOWAS member states the opportunity to participate in a one-year, fully funded professional placement across the regional body's institutions and specialised agencies.
The programme is designed to equip young graduates with practical work experience, strengthen their professional skills and deepen their understanding of regional integration and public service within West Africa.
Successful applicants will be assigned to various ECOWAS institutions and agencies, where they will gain hands-on experience, build cross-border professional networks and contribute to programmes that support the organisation's development objectives.
According to ECOWAS, the initiative forms part of its commitment to empowering young people, promoting youth employment and developing the next generation of leaders and professionals across the region.
Eligible graduates from ECOWAS member states, including Nigeria, are encouraged to submit their applications within the stipulated application period and ensure they meet all programme requirements before the deadline.
The immersion programme is expected to provide participants with valuable international exposure while enhancing their employability and preparing them for leadership roles in both the public and private sectors across West Africa.
