Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has said he has instructed the state’s Attorney General to withdraw the suit filed against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the freezing of the state government’s account.
Adeleke disclosed this while addressing the controversy surrounding the frozen account and the legal action instituted against the anti-graft agency.
The governor said the decision to discontinue the case was intended to allow the state to pursue other avenues for resolving the matter.
The development comes amid ongoing concerns over the status of Osun State’s finances and the implications of the account restriction on the operations of the state government.
