Agbaigba Ijaka-Oke to Launch ₦250 Million Education Trust Fund, Commission Ultra-Modern Health Centre — Gov. Dapo Abiodun, Yayi, IGP Egbetokun to Attend


 The 2025 Agbaigba Ijaka-Oke Day celebration in Yewa North, Ogun State, will feature top dignitaries including Governor Dapo Abiodun, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), and Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, as the community inaugurates its Education Trust Fund and new health facility.

The people of Ijaka-Oke in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State are set to celebrate the 2025 edition of the annual Agbaigba Ijaka-Oke Day, featuring the official launching of a ₦250 million Education Trust Fund and the commissioning of an ultra-modern health centre for the community.


The week-long celebration will run from Monday, November 24 to Sunday, November 30, 2025, with the grand finale scheduled for Sunday, November 30, at 10 a.m.

The event will hold at the Agbaigba Community High School, Ijaka-Oke, Yewa North, Ogun State.


This year’s edition promises to be historic, bringing together top government officials, royal fathers, community leaders, and distinguished indigenes of Yewaland.


According to the 2025 Agbaigba Ijaka-Oke Day Central Planning Committee, the celebration will be chaired by Honourable Chief Jamiu Omoniyi Jagunmolu, Commissioner for Housing, Ogun State, while Comrade Bello Adejoke Oluwatoyin, NANNM Chairman, Ogun State, will serve as Chairperson.


The Royal Father of the Day is His Royal Majesty, Oba Olusola Idris Osolo, the Olofin Adimula Oodua of Ado-Odo, while Chief Ifayemi Osundagbonu Elebuibon will grace the occasion as Distinguished Guest of Honour.


Other special guests include Venerable Olusola Ladipo Ajayi and Honourable Mrs. Omoyayi Olubukola.


The Chief Launcher of the ₦250 million Education Trust Fund will be Senator (Aremo) Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), representing Ogun West Senatorial District.

The Chief Host is Dr. Olusola Akinbode (PhD), Executive Chairman of Yewa North Local Government, while the Special Guest of Honour is His Excellency, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON, the Executive Governor of Ogun State.


The Royal Father and Host is His Royal Highness, Rotarian Nurse Kayode Joseph Ogungbohun, Osolo I, The Agbaigba of Ijaka-Oke Kingdom.


The week’s activities include a courtesy visit, community sanitation, medical outreach, youth summit, school competitions, Jumat service, Opete night and food festival, procession to deities, and sporting events all leading up to the grand finale and thanksgiving service on Sunday, November 30.


Highlights of the grand finale will include the commissioning of the new health centre, presentation of awards to distinguished sons, daughters, and friends of Agbaigba, as well as cultural displays and performances by Egungun, Gelede, Eso, Hunters, and the Bolojo group.


Musical entertainment will be provided by Alhaji Jamiu Akanni Adaradenu, popularly known as Jamaica Oba Sely.


The 2025 celebration, themed around community growth and cultural unity, aims to strengthen social ties, encourage educational development, and promote access to quality healthcare within the Ijaka-Oke community and beyond.


The event is proudly organized by the 2025 Agbaigba Ijaka-Oke Day Central Planning Committee, under the leadership of Prince Falana Saka Ilebiyi.
