The Corporate Affairs Commission has announced the temporary suspension of its company registration portal following a reported cyberattack on its database.
In a statement released by the Commission, it confirmed that the incident involved a breach affecting millions of data points across its digital infrastructure in Nigeria.
The Commission stated that the suspension is a precautionary measure aimed at securing its systems, protecting sensitive information, and preventing further compromise while technical teams work to assess and restore full functionality.
It further assured the public that efforts are underway to strengthen its cybersecurity framework and restore services as quickly as possible. The CAC also urged users to remain calm while investigations and recovery processes continue.
